Mark Blyth

Inducted to Hall Of Fame in 2015

The original Mustang and for a lot of people in the British game, 'Mr Football'. Mark has 30 years experience as a player, Coach, and Manager with British football teams and it's fitting that as a Doncaster native he was an original Doncaster Jaguar in the 80's. After a Championship title with the Barnsley Bears in 1990, and a season over the Pennines with the Merseyside Nighthawks, Mark decided to football another chance in his hometown and founded the Mustangs in 2002.

Another Championship followed in 2004, and since then he has built a respected club with numerous play off appearances and lots of great memories.

Marks laid back style belies a huge amount of football intelligence and experience, and as he reminds me often, he "does know a thing or two about running a club".

Mark is the obvious choice as the first inductee into the Mustangs HOF. He is a reluctant inductee, but on this I was insistent. The club would not function or exist without his efforts and Mustangs past, present and future owe him a great debt of gratitude.
